1月18日，泰国驻沪总领事彬娜·安平乐（Prinat Apirat）到访上海科技大学。校党委副书记、副校长江舸会见了安平乐一行。
2023年上科大与泰国各界的交流合作持续拓展。泰国高等教育、科研与创新部代表团，泰国暹罗皇家水泥集团，泰国玛希隆大学代表团等先后来校访问。安平乐表示，泰国政府、企业、大学的访问为今后双方的合作建立了良好的基础。生物技术、人工智能、碳中和及绿色能源都是泰国感兴趣的领域，驻沪总领馆将积极推动各方的合作交流。江舸表示，欢迎泰国各界与上科大增进互相了解，进一步探索双方在人才交流和培养、技术转移等方面的合作。国际事务处副处长聂焱向安平乐一行介绍了上科大的整体情况。
会前，安平乐一行参观了信息学院多学科人工现实工作室（MARS）、物质学院光电材料实验室。在人字楼，了解免疫化学研究所和iHuman研究所的情况，并听取了上海临床研究中心主任朱畴文对中心的介绍。泰国驻沪总领馆投资处主任钟宝芬等随同访问。
Consul General of Thailand Visits ShanghaiTech
On January 18, 2024, Prinat Apirat, Consul General of the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Shanghai, visited ShanghaiTech. Vice President Jiang Ge met with the delegation.
Last year, delegations of Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) of Thailand, SCG and Mahidol University visited ShanghaiTech. The Consul General said that the visits of the Thai government, enterprises and universities had set a good foundation for future cooperation. Biotechnology, artificial intelligence, carbon neutrality and green energy are all areas of interest to Thailand, and the consulate will actively promote cooperation between all parties, she added. In response, Jiang Ge said that ShanghaiTech welcomed the Thai delegations to enhance mutual understanding and knowledge sharing and that the two sides could explore potential cooperation in talent exchange and training, technology transfer and other aspects.
The delegation visited the Multidisciplinary Artificial Reality Studio (MARS) of the School of Information Science and Technology and the Optoelectronic Materials Laboratory of the School of Physical Science and Technology. On the third floor of the Y Building, they were given an overview of Shanghai Institute for Advanced Immunochemical Studies and iHuman Institute. Zhu Chouwen, Director of the Shanghai Clinical Research and Trial Center, introduced the Center.
A diplomat with rich experience, Prinat Apirat joined in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand in 2002. She has successively held positions in the Department of East Asian Affairs, the Department of ASEAN Affairs, the Royal Thai Embassy in China and the Thai Embassy/Mission in the European Union.
