2016-17 WISELearners’ Voice Program is a great opportunity for students,aged 18 to 25, with interest and/or involvement in education and otherwider global development, and in social networks or communities broadlyassociated with their studies and/ or professional interests. The selectedstudents by Wise, will be able to attend to two residential workshops in Dohaand in Spain with all the expenses covered.

About SANTANDER and “WISELearners′ Voice Program”, a QATAR FOUNDATION initiative
In November 2013, Santander Universities signed an agreement with the WorldInnovation Summit for Education (WISE), an initiative of QatarFoundation. As a Premium Sponsor of WISE, we support the developmentof the WISE Accelerator Program and the growth of the Learners' VoiceProgram.
QatarFoundation, under the leadership of its Chairperson, Her Highness Sheikha Mozabint Nasser established the World Innovation Summit for Education in 2009. WISEis an international, multi-sectoral platform for creative thinking, debate andpurposeful action. WISE has established itself as a global reference in newapproaches to education. Through the Summit and a range of ongoing programs WISE is promoting innovation andbuilding the future of education through collaboration.
The objective ofthe WISE Learners’ Voice Program is to bring the voiceof young people to the challenge of rethinking education, and toequip them with skills to take on leading roles in their fields and in theworld of education. The Program is based on the conviction that whenlearners are co-creators of their learning environments they become activeparticipants, invested collectively as stakeholders in the progress of theircommunities. The Program focuses on building their knowledge of education andsocial entrepreneurship, as well as their leadership and communication skills.
GLOBAL CALL: WISELearners′ Voice Program
The Learners’Voice Program is a year-long program consisting of tworesidential sessions, online and on-site activities, and the development ofgroup projects seeking innovative solutions to pressing educational issues. Theresidential sessions take place in Doha, in early January, andMadrid (Santander Financial City) in June. Each residential session istwo weeks long and consists of full-day workshops. Attendance is mandatory. Theworkshops are administered by expert faculty from Babson College andYale University (Yale World Fellows), among others. This program iseducational at its core and seeks to develop twenty-first century skill-sets inpromising young people from all over the world.
WISE is nowseeking a new cohort of outstanding young learners aged 18 to 25,from diverse backgrounds and disciplines, who are passionate about educationand social impact, to join this growing global community. Participants canapply or be nominated to take part in the Program. Eligibility criteria andguidelines can be found on the WISE website.
WISE - Qatar Foundation will cover all Program-relatedcosts, including air fares and accommodation for the selected participants. TheWISE team is responsible for evaluating all applications and making the finalselection.
